Alive!
Kurt Hasper – Veteran and Glendale Resident Featured in Free Community Art Event

What happens when you give a fourth grader a brownie? Kurt Hasper’s parents gave him a Kodiak Brownie Camera to take photos when they moved from Michigan to Arizona. Fast forward sixty years, and today his library contains almost 500,000 images.
Some of his major collections include Arizona scenery, animals, and people as well as live action photo composites of rodeos, horse shows, wild horses, sports, mariachis, and dancers--Native American, flamenco and folklorico. Kurt creates action composites using multiple photographs combined with digital brush techniques and effects. His work includes giclée wall prints, canvases, art books, action composites, slide shows, and printed workshop course materials.
